Sébastien Seixas was born in 1974 in Orléans, France. He studied violin-making at the Ecole Nationale de Lutherie in Mirecourt from 1989 to 1994 with M. Legeard and D. Nicosia. During his studies, he started working with Orléans-based maker B. Dreux, starting his professional carreer in 1993. After working in Orléans for two years (1994-1996), he was sent by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Morocco to teach violin-making at the Conservatoire National in Rabat. Since 1997, his workshop is based in Athens, Greece, where he is also doing restoration work. His instruments are played around the world by professional musicians.
